Deadpool 3 Reveals Release Date - And Hugh Jackman's as Wolverine
In a video posted to his Social Media, Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Hugh Jackman will return to the role of Wolverine in Deadpool 3. Deadpool 3 is set to open in theaters Sept. 6, 2024
At the end of an 81-second clip, Reynolds suddenly asks Hugh Jackman that he appears in the background going up the stairs:
Reynolds: "But we had an idea. Hey Hugh, do you want to play Wolverine one more time?"
Jackman: "Yes, of course, Ryan."
The announcement also came with what is likely to be Deadpool 3's first official logo, featuring the Deadpool logo with the three Wolverine-style marks cut in half. See dragging above.
The release of Deadpool 3 was also revealed, which will be on September 6, 2024, in theaters.
Following the announcement, Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy shared the video and used a caption saying "So ummmmm...yeah," confirming the news about his first film in the MCU.
.Additionally, Jackman himself shared the announcement on Twitter with the same sort of response he gave in the video itself, captioning the post "Yes, of course."

"Hey everyone, we're so sad to have missed #D23 but we've been working really hard on the next 'Deadpool' movie for a long time," Reynolds says in the video.
“I've really had to search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the #MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth, motivation, meaning,” he added.
“It has been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach deep inside. And I... I have nothing. Yes, completely empty here. And terrifying. But we had an idea." Hey Hugh, do you want to play Wolverine one more time?” Reynolds asks as Jackman walks into the background.
“Yeah, sure, Ryan,” Jackman replies. The video ends with #IWillAlwaysLoveYou by #WhitneyHouston and a hashtag of #ComingHugh#Deadpool logo appears then is quickly slashed by #Wolverine's adamantium claws
Let's remember that the last time #HughJackman personified Wolverine was in 2016's #Logan R-rated tape that was directed by James Mangold.
Deadpool 3 will be directed by #ShawnLevy based on a script by #RhettReese and #PaulWernick who have already worked on the character's previous tapes. The film will hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
Along with this, the actors released another video answering questions from fans:
